Oil Priming an engine before first run

on GM vehicles, cranking the motor with the gas pedal to the floor puts it in "clear flood mode". Shuts off the injectors.

A Broken Water Softener, Cleaning Ooops, Giving Up

My old softener was giving me an overfilled brine tank. Ultimately what I found was my brine valve was sticking - worn out. New one from Bezos & all good.

How long can motor oil be stored?

It was in the ground for a million or so years...

    Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail Initial Impressions

These will be my next set once the OE Goodyears are done. I'd love to replace them now, but at $1200 for the set, I'll hold off...

So Kohler sold off its small engine division?

Smart move: jettison ICE while it still has value before BEV completely takes over. Thank commiefornia for this. Really hoping they stick to their guns & don't allow diesel heavy equipment in to rebuild all the burned up neighborhoods - only battery powered equipment.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2.7L High-Output Turbo Engine Oil Recommendations

I bought a '25 L3B in December. Just did the first OC @1200 miles. First, I'd like to thank the gorilla at gm who tightened the filter. Wasn't sure which would break first: my craftsman band strap wrench or my hernia. Truck got one qt M1 & a jug of Pennzoil Platinum with a PF66 filter

Axle splines stuck in the knuckle

Never met one an air hammer wouldn't rattle loose. Beats beating the snot outta it.

Are any of these $tealer$hip recommendations legitimate

I don't see anything wrong with the control arm bushings. I've had them fail and it was the noise from the arm clanking around while driving that clued me in. As for the pump, it does look like a wet spot on the housing. Best internet diagnosis I can give for free - YMMV.

    2025 Chevy Trax?

For around $25K OTD nicely equipped, it's hard to beat. I considered it when I bought my wife her Equinox, but no AWD killed it.

    Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02

Again, Bridgestone bent the knee. Nobody held a gun to their head.

    Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02

I blame them both, but mostly Bridgestone. It's their name on the sidewall of a craptastic tire. Evidently they have no concern about their brand image; so in kind, I will have no concern for it as well.

    Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02

That's quite a mouthful when they could've just named them Bridgestone Junk. OK, so we'll stick to a long name: how about Bridgestone DitchFinder 365? I've never, ever, had an OEM tire this bad - they came stock on the wife's '23 Equinox AWD. I bet if I got the FWD version, it'd have come...
