New lawn mower blades don't seem very sharp

Don't comment here to much, but hadda jump in on this, as I owned a lawn mower sales and repair shop for 50 years, and sharpened thousands of blades. I totally agree that blades don't need to be razor sharp to cut fine, and will dull faster if they are, BUT the customers really like them to...

    tire preservative, for storage

So if I would keep under the deck where the sun can't get to, I don't need any coating, and the rain and snow etc won't hurt them any more than if they were in a cheap shed?

Got a brake fluid moisture tester

Here is my deal. I have had many cars over my 65 years of driving, but have never kept many more than a few years. Most were quite old with lots of miles when I bought them, but one, my 65 Mustang in about 2000 and sold in 2023, and I never did change the brake fluid in any of them. And...

Value proposition of manual impact versus gun

I have had one for many years. (like 50) and have used it maybe 50 times, but they are great when needed. I now have 2 of them, don't remember how I seem to have inherited the second one. I think my original is a 3/8 and the other is 1/2 drive.

how much noise the small propane forced air 60000 btu heaters make?

The other day when it was 20 degrees I plugged in 2 1500 watt electric heaters and in about 3 hours it was up to 50. I used to heat my last 850 sq. ft attached garage with a 220v. 4000 watt heater, but this garage has no 220v.

Oil and grease for Model trains

Thanks a lot for the info guys. I have decided to get a tube of "super lube" grease, and use atf for the "oil". I'll get some of those cheap needle nose oiler bottles, and the lube comes in a small tube with needle nose

Oil and grease for Model trains

I thought 3 in one also, which I assume is the same as sewing machine oil, but the train manufactures stat NOT that. But That is probably because because then they couldn't sell the really expensive oil. I also thought about the oil for electric hair clippers. The special "train". oil is like $5...
