    change synthetic rear diff?

    On my 2000 truck owners manual it states that the rear differential comes with synthetic oil and there is no need to change it. Are they right about this one? Thanks.

    Can oil go stale in the pan?

    Thanks alot guys. I enjoy changing my own oil but on this truck the oil filter is a bear to remove and the oil is pricey. I was hoping that once a year would be OK on a vehicle that barely gets driven.

    Hello everyone and I would like to say that I love this site. My question is this: I have a 2000 pick up (V8) and I am using Mobil 1 5W30. I have aprox. 18,000 miles on it and hardly gets driven. Can I keep this oil in it for one year? I don't drive much and am worried that the oil will maybe go...
