I'm taking the fuel pump and carb apart now to clean and dry. My bowl bottom has a selonoid with no drain.

Thanks for all your replies. I got the gas out. I'm not going to salvage the gas. Where can I take it? Can I dump in with used oil salvage?

I left my lawn tractor outside we got 1/2 inch of rain. I left the gas cap off which is 4 inches in diameter. So I figure I got 3 to 4 ozs of water in there. Should I be concerned? The tank is 2.5 gallons. Should I drain it. I go through about 1 gallon a week.

According to the guy who gave it to me. It sat behind his shed for 4-5 years without him touching it. Then he offered it out for free, then I took it. After I started it ,I smelled the gas and it had that stale/funky smell, like it's been in there a long time. So, I believe the gas was 4 to 5...

Complete rebuild at the shop.

Engine was completely rebuilt about 15 engine hours ago.

I'm embarrassed to say it was a dead battery. I could have sworn I just replaced it. But it is on its 4th season. In my defense it didn't seem like a dead battery. Of course the afore mentioned test saved me from throwing parts at it. 🤣

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to be working on it tomorrow. I kept the original starter from kohler. I'm going to have that rebuilt. But, I would like to see if I can figure out what's wrong with the Amazon p.o.s. If the Amazon is fried is it worth getting rebuilt. I'm past the return...

I bought a new starter on Amazon, $70. I installed it, it worked for maybe a month. Now it's not working. Is it possible the starter is Bad or something else? the selinoid clicks but no start..

So this is a little tricky. My edge, when idling, you depress the brake pedal, hold it for 5 seconds, it has a high pitched sgueal almost like an alarm. Stays squealing until you let up on the pedal. Happens every time. Brakes work fine. What could this be? The brake pads have less than 9,000...
