    cleaning clear instrument panel plastic

PolyWatch worked great on a VR headset that had some scratches. I bet it'd work a treat. Mike B

I just found out F1 is only available in the US on Apple TV.

I have F1TV Pro, but since it was still perfectly working, I was confused. I emailed F1, and they let me know that it will remain active until my subscription expires (07/23/26) and THEN I will be required to get the Apple TV deal. I hope that I don't still have to pay for F1TV, but I much...

I didn't see any discounts at my local, either on Sunday. Mike B

Sausage, green pepper, jalapeno pizza- would you try?

All pizza is a go for me (including anchovies!) Well, now that I typed that that excludes anything with ham and pineapple, so I guess not "all". Pizza in the OP? Absolutely. Mike B

    Life in the rust belt.

I like to buy "unlimited" washes (with undercarriage wash) at the drive thru car wash for the few winter months. I have one right off the interstate I drive daily to work. Keeps 'em going a few more years for sure.

Anyone had a we buy junk car note put on their windshield?

I have a local that buys for $300 sight unseen, he crushes and drives over them for his social media then junks them. He picked up a crappy Taurus that was beyond repair from me last year. Mike B

Valvoline oil change claimed no proration on battery replacement

To be fair, the average Subaru service department would suggest you coming in to refill washer fluid properly, too. So, I am sure they will say that it needs to be brought in. :ROFLMAO: The newest Subaru that I've owned was a 17, and I never did any such relearn procedure. I did have to reset...

Engine auto start/stop feature ending soon.

They can keep the feature without it being obnoxious to those that hate it by making it default OFF. Mike B

Car in storage; when to change oil?

I usually do it right after winter storage. My Mustang lives in the winter in a cold garage in PA, gas topped off with Sta-Bil and on a Battery Tender, Jr. In the spring, she gets started, dust washed and rinsed off and a fresh oil change. Usually less than 500mi per summer, so I have in the...

    A view under the valve covers - 145k 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5

Here's a look under the valve covers of my (new to me in Dec 2025) 2015 Outback. Needed plugs and found leaking spark plug seals and valve covers. Here's the inside. From the Carfax, looks like most oil changes done at Subaru dealerships. Now on second OCI of Valvoline Restore and Protect. Mike B

Report no TOP TIER™ Logo at Station

I only use Mobil/Exxon and Sunoco in my area, I have never seen a TT sticker anywhere. They are all listed on the website tho. Mike B

    Drain and Fill CVT

Ha! I don't "pop up" off the floor at 56, I get it. Honestly, leveling a car is pretty easy if you have a somewhat level area to work - you can use a $3 bubble level from HF. Transmission temp can be read with a decent OBD reader, I have seen videos where people even use a temp gun on the pan...

    Drain and Fill CVT

Why not just do it properly at the correct temp? It really isn't hard! It may just take 15 more minutes. Good luck! Mike B
