    Pentius PLXL 7317 C&P 5k miles

100k+ in my 2007 Camry 2.4L. Shifts as well now as she ever has.

Was that the last of your case? Why the switch to the Carquest? Looks great to me.

Anyone ever used a FRAM 3600 in place of a PH 16 on a truck?

I have used 3600's in place of 4386's on my 2007 Camry 2.4L, so you should be fine. The 3600 is a much bigger filter and fits just fine. I did recently switch back, however, after learning that the bypass relief pressure on the 3600 is around 5psi or so lower than the 4386. I just started...

    C&P - Purolator Tech TL20195 3k miles w/ HPL EC

I am going to start my other two cars on VRP 0W-20 (they don't have any issues, but I figure giving them a slow extended clean won't hurt) so this way I can buy multiple jugs and combine whatever is leftover. Three cars at 4 OCIs each should save some cash by the end. That and since the Camry...

    C&P - Purolator Tech TL20195 3k miles w/ HPL EC

Both of my grandfathers switched to PBR when Arrow 77 stopped being brewed in Baltimore back in the 60's. It's been my favorite beer for a long time. Ice cold with steamed crabs *chef's kiss* But, I have no idea what oil filters they preferred.

China. I'm not sure if it is a different factory from other M+H Chinese-made filters, but these have holes instead of louvers and all look the same inside (at least the few that I have cut open).

    C&P - Purolator Tech TL20195 3k miles w/ HPL EC

2007 Toyota Camry 2.4L - 164k miles, 3k miles OCI Out: 1) Purolator Tech TL20195, 3.5 quarts SuperTech High Mileage 5W-30, 1 quart HPL EC, 3k miles. 2) Same TL20195, 4.5 quarts SuperTech High Mileage 5W-30 and whatever remained after 5 cans of Berryman's B12 soaked over pistons, 5 miles. In...

    Berryman B12 success

I actually have never used it for its intended purpose as a fuel injector cleaner. But, it is a very strong solvent so I would imagine that it would work as intended if you follow the instructions.

HPL EC treatment started. 2007 Camry 2AZ-FE 153k consumption.

I ended up using 5 bottles of B12 like last time and just got done refilling her with the flush (cheap sacrificial) oil. She only took about 20 seconds to fire and almost no smoke came out of the tailpipe. Last time she took about 5 minutes to fire, so fingers crossed that the B12 knocked the...

VIRGIN BECK ARNLEY OIL FILTER #041-8749 CUT OPEN

That looks like my 8 year old glued it together.... B/A has been added to the growing list of "No thank you."

Champ PH2867... Well, this is disappointing.

The Purolator Tech's are their red cans with a nitrile ADBV, but assembled somewhere different in China. The filtration efficiency isn't anything remarkable (still serviceable), but the ones that I have for my Camry have all had solid construction. I like them for 3k OCIs.

    Berryman B12 success

I doubt Berryman's intended B12 for this reason, but darn if it isn't magic as a piston soak. I have my Camry up on stands right now for her second round. One bottle of B12 to go and then VRP. Good job on the fix, but don't spread the B12 word around too much because it was harder to find this...

HPL EC treatment started. 2007 Camry 2AZ-FE 153k consumption.

I'm baaaack. The Camry hit 3000 miles since I did the first B12 piston soak so today I took her offline to do it again. I'm not going to document the whole thing like I did last time, but I do have some after pictures of the piston heads to share. This is 3000 miles on 3.5 quarts of SuperTech...

    Pentius PLXL7317 5k C&P

I got a case of 12 of the 7317s last month at about $5 a filter. Based on how this one looks I still consider that a heck of a deal. Thanks for the C&P.

Honda Pilot 2021, V6 maintenance recommendations

I agree it is an annoying additional maintenance item and cost. Both my Civic and Camry have chains that should last forever and I love that fact. But I would take a Honda J35 engine with a belt over most other makes with a chain seven days a week.
