Yeah, thanks guys. I didn't realize that the new fluid was dark green. I decided to just leave it alone.

It does not say not to change the ATF fluid, but it does not say to change it/check it at all. I ended up using Mobil 1. It shifts a lot better now. I'm happy with it.

I was going to do it because the fluid is dark green. When new the fluid is light green. So it obviously has some contamination. Plus I don't think any coolant can last 10 years.

I did not add the friction modifier. RP told me it was not needed. Also the original oem fluid came out pretty clear.
