my little welder i just bought is an 80 amp inverter arc. Im planning on building a small trailer to pull behind my ATV to haul some wood, materials for deer blinds, fertilizer etc... I have my materials, got a great deal on 1.5 angle iron 1/8 thick.
Which electrodes recommended for the angle...
Well got the new carb on, ran it for 5 minutes and that seems to have solved the issue. A little popping out of the exhaust but I think that's the gaskets since either had to remove the muffler before (new gaskets in the mail tomorrow)
A few slight differences in this new carb... the mixture...
I did notice the stihl says meets JASO FB, while the tall timber says it meets JASO FC, FD. Does that matter?
This is an older machine just want to give it the best I can. The timber says it has fuel stabilizers, but this will be mixed into a can of VP 4 cycle fuel that also contains those
So I found a little bottle of stihl ultra 2 cycle (silver bottle) from back when I bought my trimmer...
Woukd you guys use the tall timber (full synthetic, smokeless)
Or the stihl, both mixed at a 24:1 ratio?
Thanks. It says mixing it 1 bottle per gallon covers all ratios from 16:1 on up. But something about that doesn't sit right with me and not sure if I'd trust it on my older 24:1, thsts why I asked.
I'm not playing with ratios. I'm asking if this "universal" can be traditionally mixed for my 24:1 ratio like traditional 2 cycle oils can, or if its designed to be mixed 1 bottle to 1 gallon only. Never used the stuff. I thought I was just getting a random cheap little bottle of regular old 2 cycle
Picked up an old earth auger with a tecumseh engine, calls for 24:1. All my stuff is 50:1 so I just buy tru fuel pre mixed (2 cans gets me by most of the year)
Well to get it running i snagged a can of VP regular 4 stroke gas (so I dont have to have a separate can) and a cheap bottle of tall...
I have a 5 gallon gas can I use for my small engines and it gets seafoam dumped in it. Im a firm believer in that stuff. My boat has an 84 evinrude, old man I got it from that bought it new said he's put seafoam in every tank of gas its ever seen and the carbs have never been off. I do the same...
No, thought I had everything squared away, that was due to recoil backlash and the flywheel key is 100 percent. I have an Amazon carb coming friday.. so if its not that I'm suspecting timing somehow... maybe a tooth is broke off on the gear or something. Not even going to think about it until I...
I think I got the carb part figured out.. if I type the nikki number into Amazon, it comes up with different knock off brands.
If I type in "walbro lmt 4993" it comes up with even different brands but from what I can tell the exact same carburetor. Ordered a Nikki knockoff since I felt better...
I cant say I did all of this, however as stated the nozzle is stripped so I cannot service that. Thats why I'm looking at if the nikki is a direct replacement to my walbro as the off brands are much more readily available and better reviewed. There are too many variables on the off brand wlabro...
So weird thing... went to start it today and it yanked the cord back. Checked the valves and the intake was off at .009... it was set at .003-.004. Now this could be coincidental since I just adjusted them and maybe it went out some. Adjusted it but it seems the compression release(when the...
