Elf is now being advertised (a fairly good deal lately) as TOTAL in North America. It seems like it's good stuff, we started using it at work (we service BMW cars and are known for our BMW parts, race engines and prep services) No analysis yet, but plenty smooth quiet, running BMWs and track cars.

So many people had had positve expernces with synthetic. Many of the ones who havent switched back and were 100% fine. I don't see much of a risk in it for you.

Thats such a broad statement. What about users like myself that normaly see over 230* oil temp?..and yes this is a street driven car with those temps.
