    10% on the last one. iron is up to 246, chrom is 6 nickel is 4 alum is 32 copper is 12 lead is 21 tbn is 2.05, base tbn should be 9.10 vis at 100 cs ix 10.2, base id 14.4 I am seeing wear on this engine at 17029 miles....

    Giggling here at the just another cow in the herd ??? I would guess for every 1800 on the road there were about 10 Harleys to match it. there is a bunch of the VTX's on the road, but no where near the amounts of Harleys..

    I like the honda V-twin. i have the VTX 1300. 52* single pin crank just like the other brand i wont metion for fear of flaming.. Its american made as well by the way Plenty of torgue. smooth riding, good MPG. I am sure the resale isnt as good as the Harley is and the market has been flooded...

    Geesh how did we get from heads up 1/4 mile to top fuel ?? OK let keep it in the bike world. which is faster? A rice burner or a Harley in the quarter mile. stock bikes by the way ?? dont even bother saying the Harley is, we all know better. Any crotch rocket would dust one in a heartbeat!!!!

    I use to out run harleys with my old honda cl350 anyday of the week, that is until we got to about 110 when my old bike was starting to top out an that old torguey harley was breathing finaly...then it was a different story.     Hi Gang, and thanks for all the great imput.. I do watch the boards that deal with the bike i ride. all have mentioned switching to a syn oil improves shift quality. all have mentioned to stay away from the energy conserving oils and i am thinking anything that has a moly or other friction...
