I have pushed the filters to 10k on oil and fuel but it sounds like the fuel needs to be more often? Would draining the water out be fine or is the filter needed to be cleared instead?
So either Mobil Delvac 15w40 syn or Rotella T6 15w40 syn is the choice then, would there be a better choice between the two? Weather here in NorCal can go down sub 30F sometimes but that's it.
Running 10k oci on our 03 5.9L hpcr, and in California we recently switched our fuels everywhere to a biodiesel blend now, so that affects our fuel filters but not sure on the oil life.
15w40 is what I'd prefer and seeing some threads on the new SN rating should that be a worry?

Its an acura with the VQ 3.7 I assume, most vqs tend to burn oil from what I've gathered all around the web and owners. My lexus with the 3.5L yota engine had consumption issues after the 3k mark as well and I watched it like a hawk. Check my thread I created on my profile about it, I believe my...
I got an is350 so I know about those big brother isf we got lol
I'd just check oil levels to see if it burns overtime, make sure you run a synthetic 5w30 and run it for short intervals if you wanna clean it. I've used pennzoil ultra platinum for mine for the first couple oil changes but I would...
I always noticed a slight difference between say a pennzoil 5w30 5 quart bottle and a mobile 5w30 5 quart bottle. I'll have to weigh them sometime and post it up here too see if I truly lost a marble or not 🤣
I believe some piston revisions were done for sure, and I would think they repaired previous years weak points like timing chain leak/gears rattling so those recall stuff.
