The Rancho shocks on my 2020 Silverado RST were crap and completely shot in less than 40k miles. Got Bilstein 4600s all the way around, and it's like driving a new truck. You don't realize how bad your old ones were until you're riding on Bilsteins!
I use Kawasaki semi-synthetic 20w-50 in my Bad Boy with FX691V. The Kawi oil supposedly has 1,200 ppm of zinc. I'll keep using it for sure until my warranty is up in another year. I live in Lower Alabama, so it is hot down heuh!
I went to Echo Red Armour recently and my two chainsaws (Stihl and Shindaiwa), pole saw (Echo), string trimmer and hedge trimmer (both Kawasaki) have never run better! Ratio is about 45:1 because I spilled a little gas.
I had a Scag Freedom Z with Briggs 26hp ELS engine for 19 years. It was still running fine, but it had zero suspension and was killing my back. I gave it to my nephew, who is still running it, and bought a Bad Boy Maverick HD with suspension system and suspension seat with a Kawi FX691V. It was...
Don't know if this contributes to the conversation but once had a Mercury 175 two-stroke outboard that slung a rod through the crankcase. Mercury sent me a new powerhead. My mechanic said he drilled out the carburetor jets to make sure plenty of fuel was hitting the pistons to keep it from...
Just had a Walbro carburetor kit installed on my Kawasaki KTFR27 string trimmer, and it's still a beast. Too bad they got out of the two-stroke engine business because of all the regulations.
It gets real hot here in LA (Lower Alabama) so I'm running Kawasaki 20w-50 semi synthetic with Kawasaki 721 filter. I might try the Kawie 15w-50 in the future.
Sorry, missed your post. My truck is still running fine. The DC converter was the problem. The check engine light popped up on a test drive, which led to replacing the fuel relay.
We had a 2004 E60 530i (M54) with adaptive steering and suspension. I loved driving that car. It took corners like it was on rails. We currently have a 2011 528i (last year for the M54) that has been quality vehicle with 117k miles. Had to replace the starter, but it's been reliable.
Just put Michelin Defender LTX tires and Bilstein 4600s on my 2020 Silverado, and it's like driving a brand new truck. I hated the Rancho OEM shocks. Definitely a huge upgrade!
