Redline V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®

I just changed to Twin Power Semi-Syn gear oil from Redline Heavy Shockproof. I have no 5th gear noise now. With everything else including the Shockproof and Formula + I had mild to annoying levels of gear noise.

Need help understanding a beta ratio

I am researching a Wix #57348 filter for my motorcycle. The beta ratio listed is 2/20= 2/60. My very limited understanding of a beta ratio is that the first number is the amount of particles of a certain size prior to filtration and the second number is particles of the same size after...

Stuck rear axle 2007 H-D Dyna Street Bob.

My 2005 Sportster had the same problem. A light amount of rust on the axle made a beating nessessary to remove the axle. The HD manual calls for anti seize lube on the axle but when it was manufactured they don't put any lube on the axle at all.

    VR1 in a HD 103 ci

The oil I was looking at was the dino version of the VR1. I bought a year old police Road King which comes with the 103 ci engine.

    VR1 in a HD 103 ci

I just picked up a 2009 Road King with the 103 ci engine. I have seen the advise on the forum to use Valvoline VR 1 in the twin cam engines but wondered if it was advisable to use in the larger engine.

    Mystik 15w50 JT-8 in Sportster

I have a couple of gallons of this oil for my Jeep. Would it be a good choice for my 2005 XL 1200 C? The manual calls for either 20w50 or 15w40 both CJ-4 rated. The Mystik is CJ-4 rated but not exactly the called for viscosity.

manual trans fuild vs. differential fluid

I am working on a 78 Jeep CJ7 with a three speed manual transmission. The Hayes manual calls for a GL-4 lubricant in the transmission, and a GL-5 lubricant in the transfer case and differentials. I went to O'Reillys and they had a gallon jug of "Master Pro" gear oil. The label indicates that you...
