    VW 504 OIl specificarion

Thanks for the responses. Now that I understand a bit more about the VW504 spec, I suppose what I would like to know is, have you guys had issues with deposit build up on intake valves in direct injection engines. I am thinking of taking the valves out after 60,000kms to inspect and then polish...

    VW 504 OIl specificarion

Thanks for the reply The car is a VW Polo GTI with a twin charged 1.4L engine. Just been doing a bit of reading, it seems like low SAPS are important for direct injection motors to keep valve deposits down. What are the best oils in this regard? Feel free to make suggestions.

    VW 504 OIl specificarion

I have just purchased a VW for the first time and recommends using VW 503 or 504 oils. Can anyone provide advice on what this spec is based on? I am guessing it may be based on extended oil change intervals (15,000km). The car I have is twin charged ie both turbo and supercharged. Can anyone...

What are we using for chain lube?

I have tried both Silkolene Titanium Chain Gel and Motul Factory Line Chain Lube. The Motul Factory Line Chain Lube is definitely superior to the Silkolene product I tried. I can't comment on any other product because I have not tried anything else. I really like the Motul Factory Line Chain Lube

    Shell Rimula R6

Shell Australia (at least the guy I spoke to) says the Rimula R6 formulation is quite a bit different than Rotella T6, and not that suitable for motorbikes. He said Shell Helix would be a better option for a universal synthetic Oil If there are any other opinions feel free to share them. I might...

    Shell Rimula R6

I will ring Shell Today to see if I can get more detailed specific information. If anyone else knows more about this product's chemistry please elaborate a bit more. Specifically Rimula R6 vs Rotella T6. I noticed the Rimula R6 does not say JASO MA.

    Shell Rimula R6

Hi Everyone In Australia we do not have Shell Rotella T6, but we do have Shell Rimula R6. It looks like it is the same oil just with a different name. Can anyone advise whether it is the same oil or if not still suitable for motorcycle use (shared gearbox and engine sump)...
