    Quirky features on your cars?

On my WRX, the passenger's side window will stop working if I've disconnected (and reconnected) the battery for any amount of time. To restore window operation, I have to do a hard-to-remember dance involving moving the switch up and down repeatedly while turning the key on and off. I don't...

    2014 Subaru Outback, 6MT with 150K miles - opinions?

+2 Where everyone is there on someone else's money. My brother calls them "Trustifornians".

    2014 Subaru Outback, 6MT with 150K miles - opinions?

That's what I was thinking also. My brother lives in Boulder.... If I lived in VA I'd buy this thing and send it out to CO for my brother to flip.

I Hate the New Youtube Layout

Sounds like every Walgreens near me. "Excuse me, can you tell me where the eye drops are?" "Aisle 10, between the shoelaces and the bug killer."

    1972 Honda Civic

I believe it. I personally calculated 63 MPG in our '83.... This was in the days of the 55 MPH speed limit and there was NO WAY Dad was going to exceed that, not with mom watching him like a hawk. There would be no speeding in her car!

    1972 Honda Civic

My parents had an '83, which I learned to drive manual on. It spoiled me since the clutch was so light and the shifts were so precise. Probably one of the easiest manuals I've ever driven. But yeah, by 80-90K miles the engine was toast.

Not a great conversation with my local Infiniti dealer today. Least they were honest.

Or the owner. Need to sidestep the service department entirely.

The OP did buy two vehicles there, if I'm understanding his post correctly. The second one was just six months ago.

Barn find! Go back to basics.

I remember reading the Consumer Reports article about the Yugo. It was quite hostile! One detail I remembered from the article was the way the hot/cold lever on the HVAC panel had a spring attached behind it and the spring was so tight it tended to pull the lever back in the opposite direction...

The favor would have come from Nissan, not the dealer.

What is the single best vehicle to buy if you're a tightwad?

And every list needs to have the same three vehicles on it: Corolla, Camry and Crown Vic. Well, four if you include the Grand Marquis. Doesn't matter what criteria we're looking for either; cheap commuter cars, sports cars, cargo-hauling cars, family vacation trucksters, kids' first car...

What is the single best vehicle to buy if you're a tightwad?

C4 or C5 Corvette.... C5s probably haven't reached bargain-basement prices yet but the C4 probably already has, and desirable models are starting to go up in price.

    OJ Simpson Dead at 76

That's the irony. OJ and his team of lawyers paid big money to Barry Scheck and the other DNA expert to basically throw DNA science under the bus as unreliable and suspect. Sort of like paying Neil Armstrong to testify that the moon landing was faked.
