Any bike is fine for that type of riding. The only things you could shop for are farings vs naked for wind, and your preferred riding position.
Edit: just adding that if I were doing only that type of riding, I'd get a Yamaha YZF-R3
Yeah that's a good point. A bad motor mount should also cause vibration while driving. Rough idle only could be a bad spark, low idle, or could just be something so subtle that it can't be identified (age)
I had this problem recently. The vibration started as a mild annoyance and became terrible after a thousand more miles. I assume vibrations are bad for the rest of the car.
Ordered 3 new aftermarket mounts dirt cheap. Changed only 1, didn't help and decided to sell the car instead of dealing...
Thanks so much those both look like great options. I'll have to call around to track down where I can find a single gallon of the Valvoline.
This is more of an educational question, but how is it that the Mobil 1300 in 10W-30 meets the specs for API SP but not API SL?
You're looking at a very good car at an okay price. But my general rule is to never travel a long distance to a car dealership. A few times I've gotten tons of pics, even did a FaceTime walk-around, and still saw problems when I got there.
Thanks, yeah in terms of zddp the motorcycle oil has 1150ppm and the rotella has 1200, but you're right there might be other properties I don't know about
I have 3 different opened bottles of oil lying around so I'd like to use one of them up, even though none of them are perfect for this situation.

Purely anecdotal, but I saw absolutely zero change in gas mileage jumping up from a 5W-20 to 10W-30. That being said, my owner's manual "allows" for 10W-30, despite recommending 5W-20 for "optimal fuel economy"
