Both the current and previous Schrader valves cores were tightened as far as they would seat. I even tried backing it off a fraction to see if that would help, but to no avail, so I re-seated it fully. I am starting to think that there may be some minor corrosion/pitting in the aluminum nipples...
Since you are currently near Bremerton, consider posting an online ad (e.g., Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc.) for a credentialed welder who works at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. PSNS has a very talented workforce of trades workers who can perform welding to Naval Nuclear Propulsion...
I actually replaced it with a new Honda OEM cap during the second time the core was replaced. However, after reading many other HVAC forum postings, I am of the belief that only the brass caps with o-rings found on a home HVAC compressor can act as a gas tight seal. I purchased some brass caps...

If you need to access the laundry today, this video shows you how to disassemble the top of the washer in order to detach the lock from a current generation Maytag top loader.
If you have unplugged the washer for more than a minute and tried plugging it back in without success, the next step is to leave it plugged back in the outlet for at least 30 minutes. The circuit control board "should" reset itself after 20 to 30 minutes and allow the unit to reboot at that...
Here are a few things to consider and check in regards to the water sensor problem:
- Is the water sensor height adjustable? I would expect the sensor contacts to be positioned above the midpoint of the drain line orifice so that the port would have to be significantly clogged to result in an...
