    Why not more hybrids?

I like the Toyota Synergy Hybrid Drive system. That has been a proven system they are vary reliable and the fuel economy is vary good. The one they put on the Tundra is the same on the Ford F-150, is nothing more than a electric motor on the rear differential. The engine and transmission is...

Kawasaki K-Tech Oil, No More ?

That is what I thought about the low pressure. I talked to a Kawasaki rep. who likely gave his canned answer. But whoever came up with never really thought through the ramification of their decisions either. Someone there at Kawasaki in charge has this mentality that less zinc is bad...

Kawasaki K-Tech Oil, No More ?

I heard others take on all this. How important is the Zinc boost really are in these engines? Others have said the spring pressure is not all that high and about any oil will do. But overall, going with a HDEO seens to a good choice. That what I would do.

10000 miles/1 year on this M1 EP oil filter

I didn't think I was being sarcastic. Just wanted to hear if people think these filters were good for 20,000 miles like Mobil 1 claims. I replaced with a much durable looking Fram Ultra.

It would look like that at a 1000 miles.

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

Must of been from the time when they were bad and the seller didn't want to use them and rather sell them at a loss.

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

Yes, I have learned that just because OEM parts are made by a certain manufacturer, doesn't make buying a part from with just that manufactures name on it, it will be the same. Sometimes you need to figure that out. I once figured out on my truck that OEM Ford used a Bosch fuel rail sensor...

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

I will say that a Fram Ultra is better than the OEM filter from Toyota. -Sturdier build. -Almost double the cost -synthetic blend media -Made in the USA vs Thailand -Could screw the drainer on vs. having to push it on -Can go 20,000 miles -Can filter 99% vs. ?

10000 miles/1 year on this M1 EP oil filter

Thanks for your opinions. I always intended to replace it with a Fram Ultra, they look sturdier compared to this one. I just wanted to see what everyones take is. I would have never taken a filter out to put back in. Too much work for a dirty filter.

10000 miles/1 year on this M1 EP oil filter

Got 10000 miles and 1 year on this Mobil 1 EP oil filter. Good for another 10,000 miles or time to throw it out?

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

What do you think of Fram Ultra oil and air filter compared to Toyota OEM? They look better made than the OEM.

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

Ok, I understand there are places like electronics you don't want to deviate from OEM. I am talking your normal wear items like filters and brake pads.

Aftermarket parts vs. OEM parts marketing

I have often noticed that aftermarket companies will promote their parts as good, better, best. The good is often promoted as just meeting OE specs, whereas if you get the best, also considered premium, they make you think your getting something better than OEM. I have often noticed their are...

Honda engine doesn’t seem to run right

I have did a carb cleaning on Saturday. Didn’t read your post. But didn’t realize that screw did any adjustment. But she ran good afterwards. Does that idle jet do anything if the engine doesn’t run with no load?
