    Why such short intervals on Synthetic

    I change my oil alot, because I try to change as much as my funds allow. Yea the oil may be able to handle higher mileage. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. Nor is there anything wrong with going the opposite. But just so I get more out of my engine.

    I was thinking of switching back to Pennzoil. For my pickup, but for my 4-Runner I'm using Royal Purple. You're saying the synthetic lasts longer... What about the filters? So what is the reccommended norm on changing oil and filter with synthetic oils?
