Thanks everyone, I have some brands to look for. I live in Canada and I'm surprised how many brands that don't make it out this way. I'll probably buy one in a few months and I'll post waht I get.
Thanks. honda is a must for me, I can't believe how much better they work compared to the other engines. I'm giving myself a few months to buy one and am keeping an eye one the used market. What do you think of the eagle brand?
Based on the pat year I'd probably average 4 hours a month. I've just been helping out friends and family along with the odd friend of a friend. Based on what I have now 9 cfm would be enough and 13 cfm would be more then enough.
The wheelbarrow ones are only 8 to 10 gallons. It doesn't need to be portable. The only reason I'm looking at a gas one is because I'm limited to 120V 15A power.
I was hoping to get a higher cfm with gas so I don't burn it out.
I'm using an old 6 cfm one now. It's electric with an oil free pump. It does a good job but it runs pretty constant and I think it will burn itself out in the near future.
I know I've asked about compressors before. I didn't end up buying one.
I'm slowly shopping for a gas powered one now.
I'm looking at the wheelbarrow style ones with the honda engines.
My question is how much do I have to worry about the pumps?
They usually just say "cast iron oil...
Thanks everyone. I was surprised to see those compressors for that price. I assumed they were better then they probably are.
I have a 10 year old 5 gallon craftsman that is my go to for just about everything.
I know with compressors it's usually best to buy one a size bigger. My drawback is I...
I have an old 25 gallon oiless compressor and it did pretty good with my particular machine. I'm pretty sure I can rebuild it and put it back into service. It's just so dang noisy.
Yes they're both horizontal tanks. The vertical ones are nicer but I can shove it order a workbench or leave it...
Hi. I'm looking for a bigger air compressor to run my tire maching better. I narrowed it down to 2 on Facebook marketplace.
1st one Campbell hausfld 20 gallon $150
2nd one is a craftsman 25 gallon. $200
Both are belt driven, look in great shape and have close to the same cfm.
I'm leaning...
i hope you can find a new drain plug. its so much easier to drop a pan that isn't full of fluid. I read once that some places that offer a "transmission service" just hook it up to a flush machine. the pan doesn't get dropped no new filter or clean magnets:-(
