I'm also in the "make my own" camp.
I dry brine. 14-21 days (I shoot for 14 minimum)
.25% cure #1
1.4% salt
.75% sugar
Cold smoke for 4-5 hours then hot smoke (225) for about 30-45 minutes to really set the color and flavor then finish to 150f-ish at 170f
I've yet to do a true 3 day cold...
The Circle K next to Waffle House on Cherry Road also sold pump 100 octane racing gas when it first opened. I had an '83 Trans Am that made about 380 hp to the wheels. I was a sucker for that hundo for a while. Heck. it was something like 5 bucks a gallon back then and I got 12 mpg in that...
I like their tea..... I refill my own cup for a buck.30
I also burned a lot of their gas when they were running the .25/gallon if you use the app to pay. They ran that promo for 3 months I believe. I burn approximately 30 gallons per week. it saved me 7ish bucks a tank. I still get a nickel...
Rock Hill was like that. We had Circle K's on every corner and 5 or so 7-11's as well as BP's and I don't know how many Shell stations. QT moved in and now I think we have 5 in Rock Hill and one off of every exit between Rock Hill and Charlotte, and 2 off of exit 90 right on the NC line. 1 is...
Dang, I had a cyst that was like the size of a peanut once and I thought I was going to die, the one you had was a monster.
EDIT - I lanced mine and pulled it out. That was excruciating. At least I didn't dig it out with a pocketknife, I did use a scalpel and made sure it was all sterile...
20 something years of data and thousands of posts later........
s'all good man
Someone up in the previous 5 pages posted the answer. Unless you find some oil made by Slippy Goo International - anything you can buy at the big box store, it's all good, man.
The real question imo is it worth...
I have been a fan of these for quite some time.
I just discovered that Dollar Tree carries them for a buck.25
I also modify BBQ sauce with the Pomegranate one in the picture. Cuts the sugar in BBQ sauce.
Can't beat 1.25 for 2 quarts at Dollar Tree.
Pomegranate Cranberry and Peach Mango -...
Not eating it yet but I took a ~3lb rib roast out of the freezer. My fat self is gorging on Philly Cheesesteaks for my upcoming birthday. Gonna use the Cabela's Commercial slicer to shave it up righteously thin.
There's a neighborhood similar going up close to work here. Garages are detached. Some of the newly developed ones are being built with a roof over the breezeway between the house and garage, but not all of them. There is just about enough room for a 22" deck mower to get in between them for...
I make my own 30 Seconds Cleaner with pool chlorine. I also appreciate that the rest of the bottle (I don't use a whole gallon to clean my siding) is basically a free gallon of bleach if I top it off with good quality tap H2O
All this for like $6.25 - a gallon of store brand bleach is like 4-5...
