    I use Total 0-30 in my CLS550. The vis @ 100C is 12.5 and the HTHS is ~ 3.6-3.7. Handles the heat great. Thought I'd throw in another bone for everyone to chew.

    cobos...you're not nuts. I had the 2005 Mustang GT for two years and the difference is noticeable. I went to 0-30 M1. The 5-20 M1 made the car a tad louder and harsher. I feel it is do to the variable cam timing solenoids. New tech for the Mustang GT of 2005. I don't think they've refined them...

    Synpower

    Valvoline is rebating any amount you pay over $9 for 6 qts. for Synpower. This offer is through the end of October. They have a requirement to send 5 of the tamper-proof rings with your rebate form. Ist time I've seen that request.

    10W vs 10W-30 vs SAE 30 cylinder wear

    As I see the graph, it appears the oils wear converges as the temps heat to 212F, then diverge as the temps approach and go beyond 302F. I assume the wear for the lower viscosity oils at low temps is due to the piston skirt to cylinder wall clearances being a tad larger on a diesel vs a gasoline...
