    NAPA 15W-40 Premium Oil

Oh, in my signature, you can see my older car running Royal Purple........that's gonna get swapped out with a good dino 15W-40, thinking Delo will be perfect for it as well.....maybe Napa 15W-40?? : )

    NAPA 15W-40 Premium Oil

Hey, as long as the correct rating (or better)required for your Duramax, do it! I come from Rotella T, 5W-40 for the last 12 years. Started running just Delo, heck, I'd run Napa, I'll check.......and wouldn't you know??? Delo, we bought a pallet of it for just a hair over $10.00/gallon at...

    Delo vs Rotella

^Exactly, I'm just sad it took me 10 years to go back to what gets the job done. I think about all of our trucks in fleet.....all have used Delo of some kind, either straight 30W or 15W-40, not one incident because of the oil AND all on the road, running perfectly.

    Delo vs Rotella

^That is about what it comes down to, "brand loyalty". I laugh when I think of our families' '77 Volare Station wagon, slant six, at the end of it's life, it reached 417K miles. All the while, not changing the oil (my mom couldn't ever remember), using whatever oil was the cheapest. Let me add...

    Delo vs Rotella

I started back in using Delo 5-6 months ago. Can't believe I dumped $$ down the tube for 12 years. I have been running Rotella T 5W-40 for the last 12 years and decided to start running Delo again, don't notice a dang difference. Honestly been throwing my money down the tube. The true test, with...

    Oil quality these days

Just for conversation. I have a '95 BMW 740IL, I use synthetics, the best I can get....well, that's what I think. After 18 years....you'd think that what was approved oil (BMW LL-01), in 1995, is now something to laugh at. Seriously, you'd think I could just run conventional Chevron 5W-30. You...

    2012 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

We have an in-house mechanic. We work close with the Ford Techs since we have close to 20 Fords in our fleet. We buy a lot from them, we ask their mechanics a ton of questions, but we do all of our own wrenching. If it's warranty work, it'll go to them. Would love to go 10-15K, but the Ford guys...

    2012 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Hey fellas, I've been running Rotella T 5W-40 in my '12 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke since new. Actually started running Rotella T about 10 years ago in all my personal rigs. We started running the Rotella, all in the mind of longer drain intervals, which we did in my work truck since I drive ALOT! I...

1978 Volare Wagon Slant Six Oil

Oh my!! We had growing up as kids a '77 Volare station wagon, with a slant six!! It went 417K miles!!! Drove us kids around, was my brother's first car, my first car and even went to college with me!! Crazy the car is still around, doesn't surprise me the slant six is though. Those motors are...

Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-30 to Royal Purple 5W-30

Cool, I'll check out the RP 0W-40. I don't drag this car, it's simply my long road trip car. Sounds like no one really has any beef against Royal Purple, thought I would never run this oil. Hehe!

Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-30 to Royal Purple 5W-30

So, if I were to stick with Royal Purple, go with 5W-40 next time? Or, is the consensus just to go back to Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40, since I can pick that up at Costless Auto Parts here local in Vancouver?

Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-30 to Royal Purple 5W-30

We ended up attemping to change oil on saturday, put some Lubro Moly engine flush in ran for 10 min. Went to drain and the oil pan screw was stripped! Ugh, so, we ended up taking out the oil level sender in the pan to drain the oil. Went to BMW Bellevue and had to get a new oil pan, oil pan...

    Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-30

I use only non ethanol fuel. E zero is a great app to use to locate stations. Bit more spendy, depending on where you go, but I get 4-5 miles per gallon better.
