    JASO Wet Clutch Additive?

About 20 years ago I put some 10w30 redline in a DRZ 400 and for a couple weeks, Id be cruising along about 55/60 on the flat, and it would feel like the clutch would intermittently break lose, so slight I just thought it was in my Head. Later took the bike to a big mountain, burning through...

    JASO Wet Clutch Additive?

Yeah meets or exceeds claim, may be worthless. I mostly ran the Dino oil (which is also a meets or exceeds claim) , which never had the issue, the specs are really quite similar, but something with the full Syn is definitely slicker on the clutch.

    JASO Wet Clutch Additive?

Yes just said meets ma2 KTM 500 valvoline 20w50 full syn , the Dino version 20w50 no issue. I'd just done a new top end on the bike, and decided to run the full syn, had slippage, fully rebuilt the clutch and even upgraded the pressure pack, still had the issue. Couldnt be the oil...

    JASO Wet Clutch Additive?

Well Yes, cause Ive seen Jaso rated oils cause slippage, where other jaso rated oils dont on the same clutch pack. Totally baffling

    JASO Wet Clutch Additive?

Mild clutch slippage systems normally happen full throttle under load, or thats how to test it, uphill /full throttle, and your tallest Gear , which loads the clutch the most.

    Oil usage in newer cars

Okay, my way of thinking What manufacture would intentionally F up a New engine with Loose rings. Nowadays I know better, but yeah back then, I didnt think too much of it, thought he was just pulling my leg.

    Oil usage in newer cars

back in 98 I was buying a new 3/4ton chevy, the sales guy said they loosened the rings and they burn more oil. I thought the guy was pulling my leg, But it burned 1/2 quart every 1500 miles, I tore their survey a new A$$ every time I got one. They did it for mpg, which really didnt help much...

    M1 FS Euro 0w-40, Val PB "Restore" 10w-30, 5.1K OCI, 07 GMC 6.2L

looks like 8 to 10,000 miles on thin oil, that doesnt report too well. Gm likely very happy that you are using their recommend, as you will be buying a new vehicle sooner rather than later.

    Rotella T6 Alternatives?

What in the Heck are you talking about, there is no standard to defeat a wet clutch, cause its a stupid statement. There is only a frictional gate to offer grip for a wet clutch, Jaso Ma MA2 ratings Will an Jaso MB rated oil cause issues in some cutches on the limit of design capability...

Rotella t4 causing clutch to drag?

Rotella t 4 is a very strong friction oil, so wouldnt be surprised with some clutches might have some drag issues. The answer try a less frictional oil, and see if issue subsides.
