What in the Heck are you talking about, there is no standard to defeat a wet clutch, cause its a stupid statement. There is only a frictional gate to offer grip for a wet clutch, Jaso Ma MA2 ratings Will an Jaso MB rated oil cause issues in some cutches on the limit of design capability...

Rotella t 4 is a very strong friction oil, so wouldnt be surprised with some clutches might have some drag issues. The answer try a less frictional oil, and see if issue subsides.

By all means if you know your oil is severely contaminated and running a cheap filter replace both. But spend a little more on a better filter, and it wont risk coming apart every oil change or not filtering well, and it will go a year. 1 cup of oil residual in a filter , much more than that...

Jaso ratings have differnt meaning, MB rating is not meant for wet clutches. It may or may not cause a clutch slip issue, cause ALL CLUTCHES have differnt type plates and spring tensions and load they can handle, before slipping. Billy bob runs mb oil and never has issue. Joe Bobs, bike...
