The reason used to be so they could re-line them, but I don't know if that is done as much. Wouldn't put it past the really discount brands to still do so. Would probably keep down their costs.
Lots of O'Reilly Auto Parts stores stock it on the shelves. If they don't have it, they usually can get it in a day. That's been my source for 10 oz bottles. Price is up to $10.99 now though.

Three posts from two people who have never posted about anything else. And they are glowing too. They just joined up to talk about positive experiences with one product?
Maybe nothing there, but something smells a little fishy.

Yep, directly from Kano Labs. Might as well order some Aerokroil or Silikroil when you pick it up too.
Probably not very respectable, but most dollar tree (only $1) item have cheap glass kits. Almost any chain optician will replace screws as a good will gesture and a ploy to get you to buy from them in the future.

It's been done. They are in fact different. However, both green and gold GC still meet...
Read the first thread and the first post in this section - european and import motor oils. 0w-30 is referred to as German Castrol or GC for short.

Kano charges real shipping rates and there are only a few ways you can send such highly combustible products. I doubt you can send it by...

Sears is listed as $41, Amazon $49 and change. Sears probably has tax and possibly shipping.
Maybe EBay or a lesser known store $5 to $10 less.
To come full circle on this issue I figured I share the final results.
Turned out to need a tie rod and a bushing replaced that was half way gone. The CV boot has a slight hole which let the grease out, but not a big enough that the joint will fail immediately. They basically thought I should...
According to Wagner, the brake pads come in what the OE material was and according to O'Reilly, the OE material is ceramic.
Thermoquiets tend to be the premium pad sold by O'Reilly and Advance Auto after you go through their in-house brand line (Wearever or Brakebest.)
Eljefino may be right...
Thanks for the input. This vehicle is known for eating bearings as JTK said. When they fail they groan and sound like an out of round tire, at least from my experience with the one that all ready failed.
Would that much grease come from the bearing if it is sealed unit? Or do I likely have a...
Ok, so yesterday I tackled my brakes and rotors in my 2004 Buick Rendezvous FWD. It's a 4 wheel disc brake system. Replaced the rear shocks while I had everything apart too.
When I went to put it together the front driver side tire wouldn't snug up completely. Tried twice and exchange tire and...
