I have the print version, never got the digital. It sounded like the search function wasn't very useful with the digital version, and if that's the case, doesn't seem like it is worth it. I didn't know you could get digital without also having print. Anyway, I'm confused now also.

Yeah, that is a bit confusing if LG really is that bad. I even called LG and spoke to a product specialist and asked what specifically that have done to fix the problems with linear compressors. He couldn't point to one bit of evidence, only to say that they fixed it in 2020. If so, then why...

They must have been lucky. Mine is 7 years old and is on its 3rd compressor (parts covered by warranty, not $400 labor). It had the original linear compressor, and the "new and improved" version, both of which failed.

GE profile reviews on Best Buy are mixed. Some very good, some not. They also don't seem to make top freezer models.
