    Kia voluntary emissions service campaign

Still happy to report that I haven’t had to add any oil to this car since this reprogramming was done. Not sure what happened, but I’m very happy!

    Kia voluntary emissions service campaign

We received a letter from Kia back in mid December about a software update for the ECM for 2017-2022 cars with the 2.4L GDI engine. It said that there was a new program to update calibrations that may cause the engine to fail emissions testing. My daughter contacted a local dealer and had it...

Which Dallas top BBQ restaurant has the most triggering name?

I remember when the original Hutchins in McKinney was just a regular BBQ spot without crazy lines and “craft” in front of the BBQ. They used to have all you can eat fried catfish on Friday nights and it was so good. I love BBQ, but the Texas Craft phase is getting really old and EXPENSIVE! I can...

    2026 Honda Ridgeline Oil Filters

I stocked up on the Carquest Premium 84356 for mine. It had the OEM style P gasket and from the cut and post pics I’ve seen, it seems like a good filter. If you don’t have an Advance Auto Parts near you, they’ll ship free with a $35 order.

    Christmas Present Thread

My girls got me a tonneau cover for my new truck, but I had to install it. It the least they could have done

    Quick Jack

I’ve been talking about getting one for a few years now, but never did. I want one someday though!

    Honda Passport Trailsport

On my Ridgeline, which I assume is very similar, it can be “dumbed” down. I have mine on the lowest setting and it helped a ton! I don’t get any unnecessary alerts since doing that.

What are you working on today?

I added the Pilot ground bolt to my Ridgeline today. I was looking around, and you have to remove the air intake to get to the negative terminal on the battery. The Ridgeline has the threaded hole but no bolt??? For $7 at the dealer I have the protection pad and the bolt. Not sure why Honda...

First new Honda Prelude I’ve seen in person

My Honda dealership had this on the showroom floor when I was in there this week. It’s a sharp looking car. I always loved the Preludes when I was a younger guy.

    New Fram FD7317 cut open

I know there are some pics already, but I picked up a bunch of these for $1.50 each and wanted to see for myself. Looks like a Champ E-Core. Bypass valve fit snug into the top plate. Soft and supple nitrile anti drain back valve. I will have no issues running these on my Honda and my kiddos...

What are you working on today?

I didn’t like the chrome “Honda” badge on my new Ridgeline. I replaced it with a black “Honda” badge. It looks a lot better imho! Lucky for me, Honda give you a pretty foolproof template to get it straight, because I’m HORRIBLE at that stuff 😂
