gomes- yes, the rear diff oil was very dark when I changed it on my 2014 XV Crosstrek 5spd around 30K miles. Luckily the plugs broke free fairly easily.

I would wait until 3yrs or ~36K miles for the first drain/fill of an AT.

Seating from 5-7 people is apples/oranges in terms of vehicles. Lots of SUVs have available 3rd row seating, but it eats up most if not all of your storage capacity.

I had a Fumoto on my 2002 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L and one on my 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. They were awesome for these applications. I would only use a Fumoto if you do all your own oil changes. Like mentioned above, I could just see the look on certain "techs" faces when if/when they encountered one.

A little OT, but have you guys done the front differential gear oil on your Subaru CVTs? The few posts I've seen on that, the gear oil looked clean. The rears always seem dirtier, but they're crazy easy to drain/fill compared to the front.

Once the first tank of gas is run out. Leave it empty so you can flip the mower on to it's side to dump out the oil. I like refilling with 15w40 heavy-duty engine oil, but any decent motor oil will d0 30, 40wt variants preferred.

Problem with Toro commercial series mower is you can almost get a (great used) commercial run behind unit for the same cost. 22295s are ~$1400.

Robenstein, one thing I haven't seen discussed in this thread is, how much do you want to spend? A new Toro super recycler starts at around $500 and a Snapper commercial mulcher is over $700 now. I paid about $600 for my Snapper in 2011. Like said, Snapper isn't it's own company anymore...
