    Drill-Operated Fluid Transfer Pump

I believe South Main Auto uses these and has some videos where he's using them.

    New Siding Older Home

If you can't remove the meter channel, they'll have to work around it. I had a new electrical service done last year on my home. My ~54yr/old home still has it's original aluminum siding on it and had a similar wooden structure as you describe, that the meter was attached to. As much as I...

    Ecogard S4651 cut open - 3000 miles

Nice! I like these filters so much I'm on my 2nd 12 pack of Ecogard X2500's (blue painted, non-synthetic) for the GM vehicles in my sig. I run them for my typical 4-5K mile OCIs and cut open to examine every one. They're built well and very consistent. I've been running nothing but...

The 2026 Nissan Sentra is a nice car

Wow that is a nice looking re-do of the Sentra! I'm not a big fan of the massive center console, but that seems to be standard across the board today. Hopefully Nissan is still carrying on with the easy to DIY fluid service on the CVT. I believe the MR20DD has been a good engine.

Your new Refrigerator will not last as long as your old, Not a Chance, unless you do this.

LOL As horrible as that sounds, for the stubborn areas it's basically what I do. I set my shop vac up to blow out the dust, then suck up the mess it blew out. This method has kept my cheapie bottom freezer Whirlpool going for the past 14yrs.

    Canadian Smoke

It's really bad in the Buffalo NY area today as well.

Insurance for rebuilt / salvage titled vehicles?

As long as the proper process for your state has been followed, it should be no problem and not cost any more to insure than a "normal" vehicle. My 2016 Malibu was a salvage vehicle. No issues at all insuring it.

Lowes 3 yr. protection plan on riding mower

100% this. I lived it years ago. I bought a zero turn to replace my garden tractor and regretted it. Like you say, a ZTR to offer the comfort, stability and capability of a garden tractor for this application would have been the price of a sub compact utility tractor with 4x4, FEL, etc...

Ran the old Champion genset this morning

We recently took a trip to Puerto Rico and our Airbnb had a newish Champion tri-fuel ~7500 watt portable generator setup to run on gasoline. It was wired to a transfer switch. Worked like a champ for the pretty much daily power outages. Loud as heck though. It would run pretty much all...

2013 Nissan Versa blower motor only blows on high

Fast forward to about the 5:40min point on this video to see where the blower motor resistor lives on the 2013-2019 versa.

13 Nissan Versa grinding noise at 1500RPM

I own a 2015 Versa S model sedan with the 1.6L and rare old school 4AT as opposed to the CVT. Any time I had what you describe, it was exhaust heat shield related, especially the clam shell shield around the primary catalytic converter. I removed that one entirely a few years ago. Any...

The Ford EcoBoost and 5k oil change intervals

As much as I believe a UOA will give you useful data, I'm not sure it's going to tell you your oil control rings are carboning up on a TGDI engine.

having trouble getting a Single insurance quote

I'm curious as to how you managed to stay on your parent's auto insurance policy all this time. The insurance companies usually insist on kicking "kids" off on their own by their late 20s. In terms of homeowner's policy. Those costs have gone way up for most. My daughter and her BF (both...

Had my septic tank go FULL on the 4th of July!

Same! The pumper truck guys usually say it looks good. Not a ton of solids. Very easy to pump out. I very much dread the day I have to replace the system. Code is 500gal per bedroom, so I'd have to swap my 1000gal tank for a 2000gal. Plus go from a leach field system to a sand filter...

Had my septic tank go FULL on the 4th of July!

I feel fortunate the 3 homes I've lived in with septic systems were all gravity flow systems. No pumps, aerators, outflow tanks, warning buzzers, etc. My current home is on a 53yr old system that is nothing more than a 1000gal concrete tank with an access lid at the inflow and one at the...
