Nothing on Valvoline's Web site regarding MAxlife Synthetic!

If you look at Synpower, the bottles seem to collect dust on the shelves. There is nothing to differntiate this product from every other synthetic on the market. Maxlife has much better market recognition they the Synpower Brand. Plus the Maxlife Synthetic is ACEA A3 rated in 5w-30 and 10w-30...

I was at Wally-World yesterday. I saw Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic????? The product came in a 5w-30, and a 10w-30. Both were ACEA A3 rated, and had all the MB and VW ratings! It was priced $4.44/quart. I wonder if it is still a group III synthetic?????????

Advance Oil Filters look like a Champion to ME! Same base plate, same # of holes! Same as a ST or STP save the burnt orange color!

Are We Sure AC Delco are made by Champion? I compared an Advance Auto branded filter(made by Champion)and a AC Delco. Both made in the USA. They looked totally different???? [ October 20, 2003, 08:06 PM: Message edited by: johnsha ]

Leo: They don't sell 15w-30 in North America...? If they do I've never seen it! You could only use it in Florida, Texas, Arizona, Southern Calif.

A3 is important if you drive a Euro Import car!! Most require a A3 rating. Most 40 wts are not A3. I've never seen a dino oil that is A3????? The only non full-synthetics that I am aware of are the Durablend and Castrol Syntec Blend in 10w-40. What the h@ll is a 15w-30....Kangaroo Pi$$.

The reason Pennzoil is the #1 oil brand is due to the fact that it is the exclusive brand at Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube is the #1 Quick Oil Change Chain nation-wide! Jiffy lube is owned by Pennzoil/Shell!

Synpower is a great product!!! I've had better results with it. It is comparable to REDLINE and better than Techron!!1

Lexol is good! I like eagle 1 leather cleaner!
