Help me with Mobil 1 Engine Oil Table

I have 2 copies of the Mobil 1 Engine Oil Table that shows phosphorus/zinc levels for their synthetic oils. The first, dated 5/27/10, is when most of their oils were rated GF-4 SM. These oils, 0W-20 AFE, 0W-30 AFE, 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-20 EP, and 5W-30 EP are all listed as 800 phos/900 zinc. Their...

Help! - They downsized my oil filter

My 2003 3.3l Chrysler used a Mopar xxxx oil filter and I always used a larger filter like the Pure PL 14670. I just got a used 2008 3.3l Dodge and it calls for a Mopar 4105409, which is what they used to use on the 4cyl engines. The Pure would be PL 10241. What can I use in place of the PL 10241...

    German Castrol

I still use and love GC in my 2003 Chrysler Voyager - 3.3L engine - 260000 + miles. I use it year round in Minnesota. I just bought 20 more qts. at Pepboys on sale for $4.86/qt. If and when I can't ever find it, I'll use Mobil 1 0-40.

    Mobil 1 0w30 dexos?

Hard to argue with success. However, if you need to change due to availability, either of the alternatives being discussed should provide similar performance. I'm impressed as I recently gave up on my 2000 3.3L with 167,000 mainly due to incessant oil leaks. And my vehicle was always kept in a...

If this question has been previously answered, please point me to the response. Why is Mobil 1 0w30 NOT dexos approved whereas Mobil 1 5w30 is? If Mobil 1 0w30 was dexos approved, I would probably use it rather than GC 0w30 - I know GC 0w30 is not dexos approved either, but I consider it...
