any news on the newest 5W40 p/n 2041 Synthoil high Tech? Any UOA's on "new" stuff?

FYI; there's a new Lubro Moly 5W40 "synthoil high tech" and it isn't being marketed as a "fully synthetic oil"....but as "synthetic technology" Still waiting for LM rep to get back to us. Same part number of 2041. Not sure what it is YET.

Hi usdart I have been building and driving high hp VW's since 1986, and I used to run the good old Kendall GT1 until... Castrol has a new Syntec 20W50 that is supposed to have sufficient ZDDP to work with our cams and lifters. I have been using it in in my 94 x 78mm 2165cc for about 2000 miles...

what does that mean? A VW is a ricer? I beg to differ.

I'm surprised to see no Porsche 356 racers or HP engine builders discussion. Anybody?

I was about to drain my CI4 15W40 and go buy VR1 after reading Valvoline's web site and product specs on VR1, but after seeing this.... uh...no.
