Magnefine Vs Amazon Clone cut pics

That filter won't move, it's potted to the shell.

After 5+ years MetalSlug is going back using motorcraft oil filter on my Ford vehicles only.

Jimmy gave good advice to buy nos Motorcraft, those years when they did not shed black glue. ;)

After 5+ years MetalSlug is going back using motorcraft oil filter on my Ford vehicles only.

Jimmy says MetalSlug should find some nos fl820's on ebay, I saw a ton of the older Motorcrafts listed there.

Got a Defective Oil Filter ... and it's not a Fram!

Of the gasket is the wrong durometer, too soft.

    IFJF (Chinese Magnefine)

Don't think you would ever need a bypass on power steering, the pump would growl and seize before it could use a bypass valve. On a transmission one would surely want one? Would you want to have the possibility of cut back cooler line flow with a partially obstructed filter?

    First oil filter you bought?

I think it was around 1977 or 1978, my older brother had a 2 door 1967 Mercury with a 390, repainted black from the original green, looked kind of cool with cragar five spoke mags, dual exhaust with Royal Scott glass packs, still with the ugly green interior though, lol. I told my brother that...

Vintage NOS Fram PH43 Cut and Post

A popular small block and big block chevy oiling mod was to plug the oil bypass, orange can death resulted.

Installing a Frantz Oil Bypass Filter on my 2023 4Runner

Op bought the Frantz, not the Insane, Frantz has been keeping oil clean for over 60 years, circumventing a lot of engineering that cannot. :)

    IFJF (Chinese Magnefine)

The filter with the split weld, the end cap is ballooned out, by a lot... lol, review says this was installed on power steering, I think it was put on the pressure line and not the return line.

bypass filter for BMW 2008 750LI

You wouldn't get much cooling with a bypass filter, a frantz or similar setup would add 3/4 of a litre in oil capacity, if heat is the main issue why not add on a oil cooler?

Do the Gazpacho filters have a bypass valve?

    IFJF (Chinese Magnefine)

Edit; On zooming in on the second picture, the bypass area is not 'sealed off', the end cap is flat with no provision to fit a valve.

    IFJF (Chinese Magnefine)

Found these reviews on amazon, first pic is a defective weld that split open after 30 minutes of run time, second pic is the bypass valve area that is sealed off, these are IFJF knock offs so buyer beware!

    4L60E - Remote Mount Filter - Balwin BT839

Looks like coolant with that hose and clamp showing. Looked again, might be for the engine.
