Any one put in an actual air filter on 3.0 mercruiser in place the spark aresror? Is there a downside to using air filter? Rebuilt mercarb the other day and it wasn’t all that clean. Seems air filter would be a good option.

Did the transmission flush a week later. Took 9 qts to fill it up. Used Dexron VI this time.

Because your post is miss leading ,people will read it as there is non need for a bypass valve inside a filter.
