Should've done it last month when the weather was a little nicer and upper 40s to low 50s. It was sunny and 32 degrees here in Michigan today.
I'd personally look for a used one. The new ones lose at least half their value as soon as you put it on the truck. You can find a great deal on a used one that matches your truck if you're patient.
I had bought a used one (can't remember the brand) off craigslist for my 2010 F150 for $300. It...
Here's Purolator's reply to my email explaining what happened with the filter:
We are sorry to hear about your recent experience. You will need to submit a claim to the Purolator product warranty department. For assistance, please call 1-800-848-3783. You can also view the terms and conditions...

I would guess the filter had some below zero starts...

I sent them an email explaining the situation, along with the pics I posted here. I don't plan on...
I just posted this thread earlier today. I changed the oil in my 2017 Pacifica the other day, 4,554 miles on the OCI, and the filter media was torn in 3 places.
According to the filter manufacturer, this filter is capable of 10k OCI when used with full synthetic oil, which is what I used...

I hope not, I'm not badmouthing the product, I'm simply posting my experience and observations. I thought that's what this site was for.
I did...
With nearly all of our driving being short trips, stop & go driving, I have started going by the OLM on both vehicles. Decided to do an oil change on both of them Friday night, since my truck was down to 16% and it was easier to just do them both at the same time.
The filter I want to talk...
I have 5 or 6 quarts of Service Pro 5w30 from a case I bought at Aco Hardware on sale (several years ago, before Ace bought them out)
Can't remember what vehicle I used it in, but probably either the '99 Grand Cherokee or the '02 Caravan that I used to own.
Whatever vehicle it was, it ran...
I've never used the silicone or the copper anti-seize on the back of brake pads There is a product called "Disk Brake Quiet" that comes in an aerosol can, but years ago, when I worked in a shop doing oil changes, there was a mechanic who would use the CRC battery terminal protector spray. Said...
I decided to try Aero brand wiper blades for my wife's 2017 Pacifica. I found them on amazon for 17.95 for a pair. Bought them beginning of February this year, no complaints so far. I plan on buying a set for my F150 when I need new ones.
owners manual says 10w30 above 0* and 5w30 below 60* but "modern" 5w30 is generally considered a good year-round oil, especially here in Michigan. If I went with what the owners manual says I'll end up changing it weekly if not daily lol.
