LargeCarManX2 it sound like you are right about the noise.This kind of weather is hard on us and harder on our vehicles.

This may be a long shot but my guess is that when the engine moves there is stress on the exhaust flex coupling causing noise. I really didnt here anything that severe to worry too much about

Klutch9,it does sound like you have excessive blow-by,but if it was mine I would chck pcv and hose to make sure nothing is clogged and then check all fluids...sounds kinda strange oil level is full
