Close friend of mine has a 2013 gs350 that he absolutely loves. He wanted something pleasant to be in for his hour commute each way and it fit the bill perfectly. I helped him put in around 2000 of parts in it and he had another couple thousand in ac repairs over his 3 years of ownership. It...
I’ll echo the sentiments here. Had an m4 without the pistol grip for a bit and a friend still has one. I liked the beretta 1301 a bit more for the ergonomics and a lot more for the price. The a300 optima patrol is also a great option and USA made. I would worry much more about fit than...
I forgot to mention I did replace the in line with the oem Honda when I did the line flush with the aisin stuff. I do have a spare magnefine laying around I’ll probably swap that in next time I plan to change the filter. Very cool it hooks right up.
I figure if it dies it dies. I won’t leave...
This would be my 4th magnet clean since first getting the car. The first was pretty nasty and the one before this had considerably more which is what put the Valvoline Restore and Protect itch in my brain in the first place. I’m very interested to see what it will look like at 200
I’ve only had a few miles on the 35% Valvoline Restore and Protect fill and detected no difference. There was a significant improvement over time going from the worn out oem and import mv to the aisin dw1 so still positive so far.
I had a previous thread on our 2002 CRV that had weak torque converter lockup and shudder since we bought it i think around 15k ago. According to the previous owner there had been no transmission services before our purchase and since then i had done a couple d&f with valvoline import mv to...
Just because the Valvoline Restore and Protect atf is out doesn't make the years of lubegard praise are unjust. I am planning on running Valvoline Restore and Protect in my crv through.
I'll echo this. Throw some new gear oil in the ptu as best you can and run it until something major craps out. Worst comes to worst when a major component fails you can probably get most of that money back.
I’m not an oem only guy but dexron products both in the multi vehicle variety and licensed are cheap and plentiful. My mother in law’s blazer 9 speed has 2 max life d&f with max life and has never been smoother. If you’re going to drop the big bucks I’d argue that an amsoil or hpl would be the...
On that note I was planning on doing another ctv service but dropping the pan to clean any magnets and change filters at the next oil change. The plug was magnetic but had very little surface area compared to the other Honda drain plugs I have seen.
Recently had a coworker ask for help on their 100k service in their 2016 hrv at 119k after a 700 dollar quote that just covered spark plugs and a valve adjustment. She stated oil was at 11k before this as well so I did a full fluid service as well as the plugs and adjustment.
As far as she...
I have used the Aisin branded cvt fluids in nissans. Definitely not oem but they very affordable on rockauto, are use specific and most importantly the right color if under warranty. I have also used valvoline in a friends fathers 2010 altima and 2012 suzuki sx4. It just doesn't seem like cvt...
