I was replacing my coolant the other day and found what look like paint chips in the reservoir. I suspect it's a material that precipitated as a film inside the reservoir, then flaked off. It's beige in colour, and crumbles to a fine powder when dry. Any thoughts on what it is? I've been using...

I suppose, but maybe it depends on what the oil is "recycled" into. I believe that in many places, it is recycled as heating fuel for cement kilns.

I'm not an engineer, but I won't let that stop me from speculating on the internet. The abutment at the north end of the bridge could be the cause of the collapse. If you check the pictures, you'll notice it is leaning quite a lot.

I've done it, with poor results. I expect some waxes are ok at those temperatures, and others not.
