Thanks a lot guys! I will try getting the filter changed today. I know of this motors reputation as a sludger and hence use only synthetic with 5K intervals. Oil comes out clean at the end of OCI even after 175,xxx miles

Allright, then should I change the filter or leave it like that? Too bad that a good filter like pure one has poor quality control.

Is the PP in the new jug a little thinner that the old one. I am using 5W30 for my 1MZFE and i have my oil light staying on a little longer at start up (1-2 seconds) after I changed to the new PP. Using a Pure one filter.

I am surely using all synthetic from now on. I generally get my stash from deals time to time. Good to know that Kendall can take the beating of the 1MZFE for 6K, but I am gonna stay with 5K intervals to be on the safer side. This motor shears oil so fast. I am using Pure One filters.

Hi, I poured STP oil treatment in the middle of my OCI with ARX as the oil sheared too much and the oil pressure was not good. Would the two products be OK together for the entire OCI(another 3K miles)? Oil in use is QHP 5W20. After adding the STP the oil pressure increased immediately.. Thanks

I had an update. I changed the filter. Put a Purolator Pure One yesterday. The light still stays on for about 2 seconds on cold starts. But when started immediately after shut down the oil light vanishes right away. I am thinking the 5W20 might have something to do with this. The factory specs...

Are you referring to the oil pump as "sender"?

Can the the thinner Oil (5W20) create lesser oil pressure?

Filter is the same oil is a grade thinner. I generally use 5W30
