The expected wear would be 37, based on universal averages. This would be the base of comparison for the extra wear. It appears you used actual wear of 60 as the base.

New member cruising old UOAs. Noticed iron doubled and copper more than doubled between 3/28/02 change and 4/22/03 change. OCI only increased 32%. 10/20/03 change better, but still an increase in wear per mile vs shorter 8,274 mile interval for 3/28/02 change.

I have read BITOG posts obsessively, and this is my first response. You did a good deed. Most customers wouldn't have checked the oil, let alone add any for free. Used oil is infinately preferable to low oil or no oil, especially when it will likely soon be changed. It is the rental companies...
