No date code. However, they were ordered from Walmart online 2 months ago. Doubt they are moving them slowly. I picked five off the shelf today. They all look like the original media provided they were cartridge filters.

Yeah, and the recommened OCI's are not short either. 10k on that lexus has me concerned. But the BITGO wisdom does say the dealers use Toyota oil is basically the mobile super syn.

Wasn't the biggest draw of the ultras the Synthetic media that filters crazy high at 20 micron and even down to 5 micron? If that's not changed and the filters don't tear I don't see the fuss about the wire backing.

Has the Fram Ultra really changed? They list the media as a synthetic blend, but it's outward appearance looks the same. Still the pink glass fibers. the XG9972 that my RX takes is still wire-backed as well. The date code showed the filter was months old.
