Autolite FL1A for dad’s 1970 Ford F100.

I have chosen to purchase from Advance Auto or O’Reilly when they have the oil change bundle deals. For me it’s less hassle and takes less time.

That is exactly the route I am going with mine.

I would use Valvoline Restore and Protect with a Premium Guard made filter; Carquest, Oreilly, or NAPA for 3000 mile interval.

I traveled approximately 500 miles mostly highway including some mountain roads. Road conditions varied from smooth to rough and noise was minimal. No rain encountered so nothing to report on wet handling. I did notice an improvement in the handling vs the previous LE3, just a little firmer...

Due to a nail in the no repair zone of one tire and tread at 5/32, the LE2s were replaced with LE3s.

I also use the Honda inserts.

Update: Due to a nail in the no repair zone, I replaced the LE2s with LE3s. I am taking a trip soon and will be evaluating them.

My Ridgeline also came with and still has the LE2’s with 33k miles. 4 years old and 6/32 tread remaining. I’m planning on LE3’s or Continental LX 25 when the time comes for replacement.

I stopped purchasing tires from Walmart many years ago due to their incompetence and poor customer service.
