It will be a pretty good tool when you are prefilling your big diesel filter. Instead of pouring fuel from your dirty 5 gallon jug directly into the filter, you use the tool.

I would advise against using a filter with a different bypass pressure other than what the manufacturer recommends. In your case a 36 psi vs 21 psi is nearly double of what the manufacturer put in place. You could be putting your engine at risk of oil starvation during cold starts and heavy...
