Lucas is all that its cracked up to be...

Capacity is 6qts. 5qts 10w40 + 1qt lucas. I've tried 15w40 and 20w50 in this beast. Neither has done a very good job and the leak was still present with both.

At least in my case. I was having an issue with an oil leak on my 88 Cherokee. (4.0L 208,000mi). At last oil change instead of going with a heavier weight Heavy Duty oil (such as Mystic 10w40 or 15w40) I just bought a $6.00 5qt jug of Havoline 10w40 and 1qt of Lucas Oil Additive. Pressure is...

    Mystic JT-8

With the recent drop in temps, I decided to switch out the oil in my new project Cherokee to a 10w30. I went with Mystic JT-8 Super Heavy Duty 10w30. I came in a 2 gallon jug for $15.00, so the price was right for this old beater rig. I had two quarts of Rotella 15w40 left over from my previous...

I love it when a plan comes together...

Well, I got the new exhaust partially installed. The old muffler had a gaping hole in the top of it so yesterday I went and bought a Dynomax Thrush glasspack muffler for it. It was only $32 for the glasspack and the clamps and custom made hangers (which I made myself out of galvanized steel...

And thanks for the comic suggestions on uses for old computer parts on this vehicle. I've got one better. I've got some PVC piping and plenty of old computer parts lying around. How about a replica of a crew served .50 cal mounted on the roof complete with fake hatch.

Well the crankcase is breathing right again. I replace the entire CCV system and all the associated vacuum lines yesterday. Runs even better than before, and now I shouldn't be getting any more oil blowback into the air box. Its a pretty odd (stupid) setup for crankcase ventilation. PCV valve...

Thanks for the compliment on the creative use of old computer cases. The day I did it, I called around to a couple of glass shops and also a couple of junk yards. $100 for new glass, $35 for used. I said to myself "Where's my angle grinder with the cutting wheel." If you look really closely...

Johnny, as for the FREE part. I initially asked him about 3 months ago how much he wanted for it. He said $500. In the condition it was in before I got ahold of it, it wasn't worth even $500. After a few more months I asked him how much again. He said, and I quote "The price is get it the f***...

Right now I've got Rotella 15w40 in it. When it gets colder I'll switch over to Rotella 5w40. I'm considering having my neighbor who is retired and restores cars for a hobby (just sold a completely redone '68 Camaro RS for $27,000) build me a brush guard for the front in case I hit any deer...

Pics of my new project vehicle. 1988 Jeep Chereokee Pioneer. 4.0L 4x4. 207,000 mi Runs like a champ. Gave her a rattle can pain job since there wasn't much original paint left on the vehicle. Note the piece of computer case cut to fit and siliconed into the broken rear passernger door sail...

Lions, and tigers, and death threats OH MY

MarkC, I'm not the one who drove by his house for the express purpose of flipping him the bird. He did that to me on Monday.

Oh, I would fully expect a wrongful death suit. However, it'd be a bit hard to justify if I was never charged with anything much less convicted criminally. Civil cases are somewhat dependant upon the outcome of a criminal case. If there are never any criminal charges brought in the first place...

Lions, and tigers, and death threats OH MY

I live in one of the green counties on that map. I know plenty of people who have concealed carry permits. It'll be easier for me working at the prison and doubly so in light of recent events. As far as the legal ramifications, yes I'm aware of those. However, dead men tell no tales, and if it...

Lions, and tigers, and death threats OH MY

And so it begins. Just about 1 minute ago while I was setting here in my garage on my laptop surfing the web whilst smoking a cigarette (I don't smoke in my house) and enjoying some tea the current boyfriend just drove by my driveway in the passenger seat of his brothers truck flipping me off...

Lions, and tigers, and death threats OH MY

Yes in retrospect it was quite stupid. I have been nothing but a gentleman to her in all respects after she left (save for the first week of the two of us having bitter arguements back and forth... but that was all cleared up and is why I have been gentlemanly towards her since.) No, I never...
