Fuel vent is clogged or faulty. How does it idle when hot? I've also seen faulty carburetors do this only when warm when they get heat soaked and sometimes a rebuild kit fixes it and other times it does not those are cheap easy to find carbs
I think canned fuel is bad as it is not stock rotated properly. I have bought 5 gal pales of sunoco optima 95 and it does not go bad. I would like vp racing c9 to mix my oil into but no such thing in my area. If in doubt use vp or echo red armor. Awsome stuff, not awsome price.
Iwe have had a briggs 16hp flat twin in our family since the early 80s and it has seen regular oil and it was changed often. For your engine I really like Rotella. Even if additives are not kosher, the Rotella works with highift flat cams which diesels have. The goal is not to do a rebuild.
Much better gaps on the new ones. Does not matter if you use a ball hone or flat stone just break the glaze so the new rings seat. Heck... Chainsaw folks break the glaze by hand with emery cloth and have sucess. Don't overthink it.
5w40, 15w40, or 20w50 will be all good choices. On zero...
The 2005 and early 2006 with a 2005 factory transmission are really bad. The overdrive just goes away and it shift to neural and revs. Also the direct clutch seems to fry. All other years and especially 2007 up have excellent transmissions.
I like my crown vics don't get me wrong but have...
That is quite the score. Can't see how owning a diesel these days makes any sense. Less reliable, and for the 2 to 4 mpg better does not translate into any savings with the price per gallon.
I store cars in my building for friends and family. I moved their cars last night so they can pick them up for the summer and found the under carriages soaking wet, and water all over the floor. This had not occured the last 2 seasons (at least that i could see), as maybe I went on a day this...
Not, no company can make a profit if they do. That is YOUR job. YOU prep that car by washing it, blowing out all the crevices, and you drop it off knowing that are going to spray the coating on in the most cost effective way as to maximize their profits.
To do it right took me 13 hours, and 6...
So I definately don't have it wrong. I just can't understand this. Even if the cluster failed which these are known to fail, it would not be like this.
I was not interested in buying it, so I never watched it. I was just cruious.
Also, I do not beleive you can tamper with these values, even during service.
Looked at a truck at an auction and the math does not make sense to be.
245K Miles
2900 idle hours
800 drive hours
How can one drive 245,000 in only 800 hours? That comes out to 306.25 miles per hour. And no I did not confuse the two figures.
