I don't have any leaks yet, and the engine doesn't consume much oil.... the Auto RX has a seal sweller? I worry about starting leaks that weren't there before. I might give the Valvoline Maxlife a shot and see hwo it does. Thanks

Come to think of it, I've seen M1 almost clear, and then a dark amber.... so maybe it's not a big deal.

Just another note. I have not done any analysis on the RP oils, but I'd be curious to their consistancy from batch to batch. One thing for certain, is the color is not consistant. No, not important, but something as simple as the color isn't consistant, what about the important stuff??

You should do a leakdown prior to running the engine, and a leakdown periodically for health checks. Leakdowns have nothing to do with compression checks as it is not relavant to cam events. The test occures with both valves closed, and with the piston at your desired position, most folks like...
