Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

I put the Michelin Defender T+H - 195/60R15 88H Tire on my son's Nissan Sentra. Took out the vibrations of the terrible tires that were on before, but the ride got ridiculously hard. Feel every bump and every impact now. I almost regret this choice for that car, but at least I feel like I can...

Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

Still leaning towards the Michelin's. Can't seem to find many people who dislike them for ride quality and tread life. I had one bad experience many generations ago with the MS/2 getting dry rot and a sidewall failure and breaking outer tread blocks. Several sets of Michelin Defender MS later...

Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

I see your point...that is my bad, I assumed ability to carry heavier loads meant heavier duty. I am strongly considering them and if the performed like my MS tires, I would pull the trigger, but at 300.00 each, my concern would be a harsher ride in the short wheel base Armada.

Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

This is how I determined it was a heavier duty tire, not trying to tell you what you probably already know, just how I came to my conclusion during my initial research about the difference between ms and ms2. The main difference between a tire labeled 112T and 116H lies in their load index and...

Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

MS2 are an XL 116H load rating, my MS tires are 112T.

Pirelli AS Plus 3 or Michelin Defender LTX MS 2

I have Michelin defender LTX MS on my 03 Suburban and love them. The MS is not available for my 2020 Nissan Armada and the MS 2 is a different compound and a heavier duty tire, so am concerned about the road noise and ride comfort. On the Suburban, that does not matter as much since it is my...

Need Diagnostic Help With Steering Problem - 2004 Nissan Sentra

I have an intermittent steering issue with my 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8. Problem is mostly when the engine is cold and at startup and the vehicle is at rest. Problem seems to go away after things warm up. When starting the engine at the beginning of the day, the steering is "choppy". It will have a...

    Bad Battery? Bad Starter?

Battery was 10.5V this morning, so either bad battery or parasitic drain. Hopefully just bad battery. being 4 years old in Florida, this is most likely the case.

    Bad Battery? Bad Starter?

04 Nissan Sentra 1.8. My son has been stating that on 3 separate occasions now, the car would not start at first, sounded like a dead battery with a very slow single turn. Each attempt to start after that, he gets more turns until the 3rd or 4th time and it will start. The radio resets as well...

Crossthreaded a brake line flare nut trying to REMOVE a brake hose

And somebody else's. I personally would not be doing those types proposals with brakes. Seems like a better approach would be to go up to the next connection point and replace from there. Flaring lines is relatively simple as well if you need to add a section. I did my entire Expedition without...

Remove Bugs From Relatively Fresh Paint Job

Great Video. I already purchased the Griots figuring I could use it for black streaking I get on my RV as well. If it does not work well for me, I will probably try the 3D bug remover for future quick bug detailing after my West Coast Florida trips. I wonder if that would be safe for use on the...

Remove Bugs From Relatively Fresh Paint Job

Hot wet towel helped a lot. Finished off with clay bar to remove remaining stains. On my bumper, grill and headlights, I used some RV stuff I have Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax All. Thinking to use Griot's Garage 3 in One Ceramic Spray Wax for protectant or Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax All. Griot's seems...

Remove Bugs From Relatively Fresh Paint Job

I have a "relatively" fresh paint job. I am waiting for 60 days to wax it. I am probably close to 45 days cure on the paint. Just did a trip to the west coast of Florida and got creamed with bugs. Any recommendations for a non-abrasive, clear coat safe method on a 45 day old base/clear paint job...

What happened if you've poured too much oil into the engine

So what's with all the manufacturer warnings in capital letters saying DO NOT OVERFILL? What is the manufacturer's definition of overfilling? I always thought something major could happen if overfilled, even by a little. I always fill mine as close to the top of the hatch as possible.
