    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

That's what I've been wondering, but it is now a good bit over the top of the "MAX" line on the dipstick. Not sure if I should keep filling till everything resolves, and if it gets worse, then suck some fluid out. I've heard overfilling can cause serious damage, but again, how much buffer do I...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

Only removed about 8-9 oz, and added in about 12-13oz. Will have to report back in a few days, as I have to really let it cool down all the way, as the slippage appears to be only while the transmission is still warming up. It's like the transmission shifts, the RPMs drop a little, then it...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

😢 I pulled out some ATF to replace with Max life, instead of doing a full drain and fill. And this is what came out. Not sure if my last drain and fill with some Valvoline Restore and Protect is cleaning up some gunk, or if my atf is burning due to the slippage. Doesn't smell burnt. But I'm...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

    Well, that was quick.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

Also, does anyone know if Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF has seal conditioners in it like MaxLife is supposed to? I'm thinking about sucking some Dexron VI out and replacing it with MaxLife to see if that helps with my slip in 3rd until it's warmed up. Read somewhere that sometimes old...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

What does this mean? And do you know what is was before?

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

That's what I have been thinking. But according to the dipstick, was full. I ended up adding a little more fluid here and there, and noticed slight improvements. So I added more, even though I'm overfilled now, and it shifts totally fine now. I suspect if it foams my shifting will get worse...

EV batteries are defying expectations after hundreds of thousands of miles

I have no doubt it's possible, but I think it will be a while before we see 1000 mile ranges. Remember, battery technology has been being researched for decades. As has capacitor technology. It's not as much EV technology, but the constitutent technologies that go into an EV. Gaining a...

Why do people buy 1 quart bottles of oil?

I wouldn't worry so much about temperature in the truck harming the oil. The temperature in your engine is going to fluctuate to at least as cold as in the truck, and way hotter. But, what I would be concerned about keeping an open oil container on the shelf is oxidation and moisture as you...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

About 85k miles on it, have done two drain and fills on it, one at 79k and one at 81k, or there about. Mostly highway miles. Used mostly AC Delco OEM Dexron VI fluid the first time, and Valvoline DexronVI the second time. TBH, I'm not sure if the slip was there before the fluid change or not...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF

I might have a slight slip issue going into 3rd gear. Wondering if Valvoline Restore and Protect might be a good choice to try, or best to put Lucas in it, or just change my driving since the slip goes away if I warm it up an extra minute or two before reaching 3rd.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I don't feel like searching through 200 pages of this thread or starting a new one. But we keep talking about engine benefits from Valvoline Restore and Protect. Has anyone noticed any benefits to their turbos, since they typically pull engine oil...

EV batteries are defying expectations after hundreds of thousands of miles

Yeah, and the speed limit in west Texas is 85, and scorching hot. That would eat through the battery pretty quick I would imagine.

EV batteries are defying expectations after hundreds of thousands of miles

Good point. It would be reasonable for me to just get a rental if I drove a long distance. And if I'm moving a long distance, just ship my electric. But also, currently live in an apartment. There are a lot of charging stations around me, and I see lots of apartment folks parked there in the...
