So best practise if you're running ~4K intervals would be to drain the filter keep the emptied filter and change every second interval regardless of cost correct?
I read on the forum that filter efficiency increases as it's media becomes packed with particulate. If that's true I should only change my filter at the recommended filter interval if I'm running shorter OCIs and not every change right?
Has this been discussed?
So after I'm done the VPBR I'm currently running PP Euro 0W40 in my tuned 350 HP Fiesta ST that I beat on daily but am wondering if switching to an HPL product would be advantageous and which one you gurus would recommend. 3500 mile changes.
Thanks!
If no one has done a UOA on this oil yet I'll be sure to do so and post it here but I only plan to run it for 2500 mi or so so I don't know how helpful it will be
I had no idea about HPL but I'll check it out.
On the website that advertise the premium blue Gen 2 restore they mentioned that it was for both Diesel and gasoline applications but the website has since been taken down or is no longer available in Canada where I live and since it looks like I...
Hello all,
Managed to get 3 gallons of this stuff to run one oci on my Fiesta ST that calls for 5W20 and an Audi 2TFSi with oil consumption issues and known for piston ring problems.
First of all will there be any issue running it for one interval because of the different weight 10W30 vs...
So I think I'm going to go with PP Euro 0W40 as it meets API SP, VAG 502&505, ACEA A3/B4 which means it has an HT/HS of ~ 3.5 for wear (I think) and SP rating should help mitigate LSPI- I can find it here fairly easily.
Thoughts anyone?
Ok so I need a high hths oil with low calcium.
Are there any High HTHS, API SP C3 rated oils out there. Delo isn't really available here.
Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP x3 isn't available here at all
Any other recommendations?
Ecoboost aren't all one and the same. Block design and clearances vary from one displacement to the other amongst a multitude of other things.
This car is going to see higher temps and cylinder pressures now too so I'm just looking for guidance from the Bitog BDE people.

Is magnesium sulfonate as effective a cleaning agent as it's calcium equivalent? I'll have to do some reading on calcium's role in the chemistry.
Thank you for the input so far
