    Buying a generator after Sandy

Well after 11 days without electricity on Long Island I think its time for me to get a generator. I plan on getting a 6500 watt portable along with a manual transfer switch. My neighbors were running either the Honda EM6500 or the Generac 6500 GP. Boy what a difference in price between the two...

    2004 Camry timing belt

I own a 2004 Camry LE V6 with only 27000 miles. Any advice on when I should replace the timing belt and should I have the water pump replaced at the same time.

    3M Windo Weld

I had a bad water leak flooding the drivers side of my 96 Beretta and used 3M Windo Weld to seal the windshield and body seams. The fix was successful but unfortunately it was a messy job and even though I was wearing plasic gloves I got the Windo Weld on my hands and arms. I tried everything to...

AutoRX and 1994 Camry power steering

I own a 1994 Camry V6 with 102,000 miles. The rack and pinion is leaking a small amount of fluid (quarter size drip on driveway daily) Would adding AutoRX help in stopping the leak? Also, if it will and I run the AutoRX 1000 miles would using the turkey baster method of replacing the fluid be...

    Worst Tires Ever?

The Michelin X Radials I bought at Costco that I currently have on my 1996 Beretta. They are poor in rain and have absolutely no traction in snow. We just had a dusting of snow (1/2 inch) and the car was all over the road and forget about trying to stop. These tires only have 7000 miles on them...

I have a 1994 Camry and have never had to use the spare tire. This tire is now 12 years old. I am replacing the current tires on the auto tomorrow. These tires are 3 years old and have sufficient tread left to be used as a spare. Should I replace the original spare with one of the tires being...

    New Tires and Wheel Alignment

I am getting new tires for my auto. The car needs a wheel alignment. Should I get the alignment done before installing the new tires ( Costco does not do alignments) or after they are installed? Which way is preferable.

    Spare Tire

Thanks for all the feedback. I inspected the spare and there are no cracks and is not losing any air. I'm due for a new set of tires so to be on the safe side I think I'll use one of the tires currently on the car as a spare. Might as well play it safe.
